I just bought my first sport bike and luky 4 me it is a 97' VFR750. I am looking 4 aftermarket parts and would like to save a few bucks to boot. Also, would like to ride with fellow/ette VFR owners in the seattle area.

Welcome to the group and congrats on a fine choice for your ride. I have a 93 VFR 750, and I am finding aftermarket parts a little scarce, but I don't think that will be much of a problem for you. I see lots of stuff for 94 & up. Just really depends on what you are looking for.

Again, welcome and hope you find this site useful. I know I have.

    Welcome

Congrats on what will be a fun ride!, I just picked up a '94 two weeks ago and love it! Where about in Seattle are you located? I am in Arlington, Smokey Point area. Went up to Anacortes Saturday and around Big Lake on the way back, I am hoping that the weather we had last week will come back soon.
    again congradulations!! Gary

Hi to all, I just bought a '97 VFR 750F. I don't have my license yet. I'm in the process of taking a MSF course. Get my license next week and the bike delivered shortly after that.

Welcome to the world of the VFR, eth727. They are wonderful machines. I love my 93 750. Good luck on your license test too. Getting your license an excellent first step to a larger world.

The MSF instructor told me that on avg. a new rider will drop his bike within 15 days. That better not happen to me.

It's bound to happen sooner or later, whether you drop it while standing still or lay it down. I have dropped mine trying to put it up on the center stand. I can laugh at myself for it. Be sure to post some pics of your bike when you get it. I amsure other memebrs will probabyl want to see it. :)
