Hi everyone, first post here. Picked up my new o4 vfr yesterday with 0 miles on the clock. Got 50 miles on it now. Home is near Freeport Fl on Choctawhatchee Bay. Been riding a vulcan Mean Streak for the last 3 yrs. Big difference in feel and handling with the vfr. Any way hope to get opinions on add on equipment like slipons and Power Commanders here. Also to meet all the vfr owners here, who like this all around bike.

Welcome Buck. Excellent score!! I just got back from Florida a couple of weeks ago. I did get to ride some while I was there. For themost part, the weather cooperated and was nice, not too hot and not too cold.

Welcome good to hear another happy VFR owner.. just a little advise if I may. Change that oil asap, at least at the 300 mile mark, why? LOL self explanatory once you drain it and take a look at it. then have it done at the 600 mile service and again at 1000 then at 2000 then again at 3000 on that one you can go full synthetic. enjoy, damn you have the nice weather ...

welcome to the group. 55 degrees sounds pretty nice after the weird weather we're having on the left coast lately.

Hey Bayou Buck! Welcome. We have the same bike. Color even. I just bought my 04 in Dec w/650 miles, off this site. Came off an FZ1 01, Super happy with it so far. You'll love not scraping stuff when you start ripping, those Kaw's are nice, and fast but still a cruiser.

The previous gent put on Staintune slip on's, zero G Dark, and 15 tooth front sprocket which I'm going to change back due to speedo and thinking Honda is probably smarter at gearing overall than modifiers. I put a Sargent on it and the seat is great, but trying to get it on made me post a thread. :help:

Please go ride because we can't... Freezing here in VA .:blah: :smash:

Thanks VaRollOn, I considered the FZ1 as my next bike. After looking at and sitting on the VFR It just seemed to fit me. It is a great all around bike. My trouble is I like most every bike I see no matter if its a cruiser or sport, or touring or off road. It is tough to choose when you can only have one.
Hope you solve seat problem and spring coming soon.
    Take care BBuck
