Made my own. Cost:70 dollars and I can jump on the thing if I want. I might be selling my center stand when I get it in. It just kinda sucks that you cant go down to the local bike store and buy something that fits the bike from square one. I would have to special order the bulldog stand and the other kind ships from Italy or something.

    Nice job.
A pretty simple design that I never would have thought of.

Does the lift bar go all the way through the frame?

wow, that's not bad at all.

I tried to bend and weld a contraption together but without the right tools to do proper and accurate bending, I called it a failure.

    Great idea.

its an 18mm hole 97% of the way through on the left and 13mm 2% on the right. So a 5/8" bar on the left and a 1/2" bar on the right.

Yes I went through the same thing with the design too and gave up on it since I thought I would need a welder and a pipe bender. Then got an idea and for once it worked. The only special tool I needed for this one was a dremel for the brass bushings, a couple pipe wrenches and any type of cutting wheel. And some elbow grease.

It looks a little ghetto compared to a nice finished stand but the nice thing is that if I need to stand the bike higher or lower its only a trip to home depot and a couple 5 dollar pipes. Might look better with some paint though.

Careful with the jack stand under the bike. Your pipes run under there...

lol. just noticed my fuzzy math. cant add to 100.

Yea it gets a little tight down there. Working on a front stand that will slide up into that triple and sit wide on the legs. Pretty straight forward there since I can lift the front up pretty easily now. And 4 contact points are definitely better than three.

its all good. just too much real estate on those farings and the vfr1200 is so small I had too many people coming up and asking what kind of bike or what size engine it had. Figured kill two birds with one stone.

as requested. I just recently took off my oem center stand and went back to this stand. Maybe it takes a bit longer to set up but it works well with a regular fork stand on the front and all tires are off the ground. Using a front fork stand with the oem center stand was scary at the least and put the rear tire back on the ground. Oem center stand was good for minor stuff like oil changes but for anything that I was really pulling the bike one way or another while the tires were off the ground was a little touch and go. I can drop kick my bike on the ghetto stand and its going nowhere.

I vaguely remember somebody selling a similar setup, but it had eye-bolts in the rear arms so you could hook tie-downs to them and cinch the back of the bike down to get the front wheel up, so no jack needed. But I like the simplicity of yours.
