Has anyone found a nice replacement for the license plate area? I would just cut it but was hoping for something that looks a bit better than a jagged edge.

I have already removed the extended the license plate light and side reflectors. but it is still ungodly long.

    this is a 2010 VFR1200F

    any thoughts?

Hi I'm new to this site. My bike is a 95 VFR. I modified my AFT-End. I did away with the entire license plate assembly, and I came up with a very clean looking simple solution. I remounted my plate under my brake light, slightly trimmed my license plate at the two top upper two corners, bent my plate slightly, heated and bent a give-away plastic license plate frame, and installed two LED mounting bolts for my two upper plate bolts which solved everything! It looks natural, clean, as long as you don't mind wiring up two small LED lights, and painting your plastic license plate frame. Tomorrow when day light comes around , I'll try to post a few photos.

I just finished a mold for a rear seat cowl.

This site seems like a good one.

Well Resin. You fail. New to the site, commenting on a mod you made and not posting a picture. Bad, bad bad, bad bad, bad bad. Now. What are you going to do to show the rest of use here that you are worthy of become a valued meber of this insane family?

    Mounting of rear license plate

Ok, It's now day light hours, and now I've now taken a few photos of the bike's license plate area. Excuse the unpainted seat fairing. I'm working on selecting my paint I'll be use for the painting of my seat fairing. The painting will get done, once I've come up with a clean simple way to attach my removable saddle bags, with out making a terrible mess of things. I do realize some of the other VFR models have a different AFT -end, but one should be able to use the same principle that I've done with the plate mounting and lighting of your plate area. I hope Randy approves of this posting?

    Later---

I did similar. Cut off rear fender level with bodywork. I took some SS sheetmetal and mounted it to the bottom of the fenderwell and bent it down at a 45. I opened up the rear running light lens on the bottom and put in clear plastic so the rear light illuminates the plate. Also have another set of brake lights next to my state inspection sticker plate.[IMG][/IMG]
