I bought a 83 vf750f about a month ago and it had a problem where it put to much clutch fluid in the the slave cylinder. After about an hour or so of riding It would get stuck in gear and and I would have to turn the slave cylinder breather to vent off then it would work fine for another hour. The previous owner told me all about it and said it was an issue with the master cylinder and I would need to do a rebuild. So I ordered the kit and did the rebuild kit was simple enough idiot proof. Well now I have the opposite problem and little to no fluid is going to the slave. I have taken it apart and put it back together twice now and can find no room error. Any tips on how to bleed the clutch? or thoughts on why else I am not getting much fluid in thru? Thank you,
anger This is a common problem. Just take some needle nose pliers and carefully pinch the line as close to the master and you will feel pressure when you pump. This will get the fluid started down the line.
Finally got it done tried several methods, double checked master cylinder rebuild 5+ times. Tried needle nose pliers no luck had force fluid up with air compressor and rig my bleeding kit to go in reverse. Also had to pull slave cylinder off pump clutch and reinstall after that it worked great.
