    Check this out.

Note that the pillion mounts are steel like the 86-87 model instead of aluminum like the 88-89 models.

It seems the cowl was not added at the factory because the wiring is different and extremely neat and clean.

Check out the taller handlebars. Factory or maybe from a Sabre or other Honda model?

The 88-89 wheels had a different spoke shape, these wheels look like the 86-87 style.

The bars look like what I had on my old 86 Suzuki GS 700as does the headlight... body lines and frame tell me that it is an 86-87 I like the paint on it.. would look better with fairings IMO but a clean job do you have any other pictures?

The owner identifies it as an 89 and it is in Thailand.

Maybe it was a naked version unique to that region?
Kind of like the VFR750P Police version in Japan.
(I wish I get my hands on some of their unique parts)

VFR750P - A police-specification model with its own distinctive model number (RC35) was restricted to 77 ps (75 hp) and fitted with a 5 speed gearbox, modified main stand, gear indicator, uprated alternator, crash bars, higher handlebars, lower foot pegs, and modified speedometer. This bike was not on sale to the general public.

VFR750K - Not to be confused with the VFR750FK, this training version of the VFR750F, again with its own distinctive model number (RC37), was restricted to 77 ps (75 hp). The oil cooler was removed and it was fitted with a modified main stand and gear indicator. This bike was sold to the general public.

That gauge cluster does not look like it is of European or American origin so it must be some type of asian-specific made.
I could not find anything on it rooting through cmnsl's website.
