Anyone know if the front brake pad pins on the VFR1200 match any other Honda models?
I would like to replace them with stainless steel ones but I have no idea if Honda uses these on any other model.

Thanks in advance, I hope.

Thanks, Ishark, they look like these to me.
But I'll take them out tomorrow and measure them to be safe.

I think the new Pan or one of the Pan models anyway uses six-pots as well. Let's hope they're the same. Or at least the pins are.

Which ones did you get? I've been riding with these since last year's service. I have another set ready as you can see.

See the pad pin? I don't think the dealer believed me when I told him I ride all year round.

Took out all 4 pad pins and cleaned and lubed them. Okay it's an item that wears, I know that.
I need to clean the pistons before I put the new pads in. It can wait a few more weeks.

Pro-bolt doesn't have that pad pin, stainless steel or otherwise. The shank on theirs is either too long, too short, too wide or too narrow. And it seems too much trouble to put any other dimensions on their website.
Oh how I suddenly miss Brembo! You can get their pins in any color or material other than chocolate it would seem.

Me too. When they're new, they're better than the stock pads.

I see people (VFR previous generations) saying these brakes are "out of this world" or "from another planet" but mine are definitely from planet Earth.
    They're good.
    But I've had better.

I believe you. Not saying they're bad or anything. They saved my butt at least once.

Ya think the brake lines are any different from the last Jap bike I had 15 years ago? They don't look it but then again I haven't been keeping up.

Never mind. I went to my Aprilia dealer/mechanic and test rode the new Caponord 1200 Travel Pack and even those brakes were better.
So I went all the way and all the front lines will be replaced by Powerbrake stainless braided lines and banjos and I ordered a Brembo RCS radial master cylinder.
I did not want to ride into another winter with corroded banjos - who knows what the inside looks - and I've had many radial master cylinders so figured what the hey.
When I can spare the bike in September for this job I'm going to have the mechanic do it, get the fluid changed and he'll clean the pistons and replace dust caps as well if needed. His kids have to eat too.
