i bought a vfr 750 for 600 bucks. i rode it to my work but when i came out it wouldnt start. i had to push start and drop the clutch to get it home. i thought it was the battery that caused this but when i charged it, i tried to start it and the t.a.c went up and the lights went on but no sound came out of the bike. is the battery messed up or is it another problem? i recently changed the oil also. im new at this so i would appreciate any suggestions. ----- ???thanks

Well, buying the bike for only $600 should have tipped you off that something was wrong. :p Just kidding. I'm a mechanical retard when it comes to things like that but I'll bet a few of our experts here can help you out. Good luck.

86 750 VFR is a legacy bike. First bike with gear driven cams. That is the bike that "Wayne Rainey and Bubba Shobbert" won 86 and 87 AMA national races with. In fact, if memory is correct, I belive the 88 Daytona 200 was won by 86 VFR.
