I just got a vf100r and im having some trouble with it. I got it running but it seems to flood itself out or act like its not gettin fuel. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Does the 85 vf1000r have to have the fuel pump?

Not sure if it needs a pump or not. There are used stock pumps or less expensive after market pumps that work fine. Your flooding is most likely a stuck float. If it's been store quite awhile with fuel in it, it may need the carbs rebuilt/cleaned out properly. Here's another good site for the first gen bikes/motors Honda Sabre, Magna, Interceptor BBS - Index

Be liberal with choke use. To much/long and it will foul plugs possibly.
