Hey, people. Me and a buddy from another bike forum are going to go for a day ride here in the valley on the 27th of July. He also happens to have a 5th gen.

Anyone nearby wanna come along? I am planning on a nice circuitous route that ends around 1:00 with barbecue in Calistoga. What we do after that is up for grabs.

I would if I was in the area boss.....love the area up there...Calistoga is cool, but man, so busy it is nuts. I seem to remember highway 29 heading north out of Calistoga as memorable (minus traffic), going to 175 and Bottle Rock Road back to the 29/175 and around Clear Lake to Scotts Valley Road to 20 west towards Fort Bragg.

If you are ever in the area up north a bit, I recommend taking the road (most of it is called Shelter Cove rd, but it starts as something else) from Garberville all the way to Shelter Cove. It is a crazy narrow winding road thru redwoods all the way to the rocky coast. It is on the "Lost Coast" (way away from the 101, and 1) so not near the traffic as the other destinations. Some pretty cool bed/breakfast lodging there for you and a lady friend if you are so interested in doubling up.

If by some crazy means I am up in your hood, I will definitely hit you up, but not hit on you...sorry, Long's all the woman I can handle right now. :xxx::ass: haha

That's one of my favorite riding areas. I love CA-29, 128 and skaggs :). The new pavement make it even better. I try to go during the weekdays though. The weekend traffic is crazy there.

If you don't know it, Rockpile Road past Lake Sonoma is a great ride.
