OK, it's radical from the point of view of my limited modding abilities but I actually ran it around the block a couple of times this evening! Woo-hoo! After 4 months of wrenching, cutting, grinding, cussing, and sweating in a hot garage, it's going to work.

VTEC Leo Vince CF EVO II exhaust
VTEC rear wheel/wilbers 641 triple clicker shock
    Plus a lot more.

looks pretty wild man. How is the handling? I have a subframe and pipes from my friends 6g to see how much work it would take to put it on my 5g. If I can ever stop riding long enough to take a look at it that is...

That's great man, you've got to post some more shots of your creation. Hopefully you aren't in an area affected by all the flash flooding and you can go play with her this weekend.

Hmmm very curious to the 600rr front end. I've looked at doing that. thing is it drops it down like 22mm. so I'm not sure what that will do to the rake and handling either way I like what you've done, very original
good job any more photos of that front end BTW those don't look like Calibers of a 600rr LOL

An interesting blend! Very cool. I'm sure that will generate some questions and comments when you get around on it.
I am looking forward to more pictures and descriptions of the bits used to get it together.

I don't think you saw the specs under the picture. The bodywork is 600RR but the forks are F4i. I specifically avoided USD units since they would be such a radical change in both length and geometry. The F4i's are also shorter (only about 1/2in). Clip ons might have worked but I prefer the extra latitude in adjustments that the superbike handlebars give.

And yes the brakes aren't 600rr either. They are gsxr1000 units. Yummy.

Thanks everyone, more pics to come.

    OK, here are more pics.

Although there are still quite a few minor details to attend to, I think this is the final and running edition!!!!! WOO-HOO!!! I put about 20 miles on her this weekend between rains.

I installed longer VTEC throttle cables for the superbike bar and bolted a CBR900rr choke cable on to the top bridge since the stockers were way too short for this bar bend.

I modded standard 4gen h4 bulbs to fit the 600rr H7 housings but first impressions are not that favorable. Will try H7 bulbs/wiring next.

Mirrors offer a limited sportbike type view but it's liveable. I'll probably work on that some time down the road.

Oveall, I'm real happy with the look and the lines of how it all match up.

Thats just brilliant, must be great to sow confusion amongst riders who thought they knew bikes.

Hey Fotomoto... Would you do a bit of a write up on how you did it and parts you used? I would say your modding skills are pretty good! I'm really interested in your work on mounting the front fairing and also the speedo/tach work. (in the someday column, I want to try a project like that - I am partial to the MV Augusta front fairing..)

    Thanks,
    MD

Well, it's pretty obvious i need to install that 6g tailsection on my '94. How much did you have to mod it to get it to fit? And the GSXR1000 calipers, are they installed on the stock VFR rotors or on F4i ones?
