So recently I've been getting the itch to do some more off road oriented riding, but the VFR just isn't up to snuff in my book for that type of riding, so time to add a new baby to the stable. After some searching and posting want adds on CL I found an 84 Yamaha XT600 for $800 big ones. This bike is in PRISTINE condition, fully rstored, frame up, new top end, painted frame and engine, all new OEM Yamaha parts all over this thing. The only problem is it leaks like sieve, but it came with a complete gasket kit so once I fill her back up with oil We'll see if that problem is fixed. Shes kick start only, and a bit fussy for my light 120 lbs frame to kick over. But I can see my VFR Eyeing her vengefully in the garage right now as the VFR has to sitt outside under the carport. Here are a few pics

Theres also a bucket load of spare parts including 1 1/2 sets of wheels and 2 sets of tires and an original pristine tank as it currently has a clarke tank on it.

Yeah, as mentioned above its a 600cc 4 stroke thumper. The thing is a torque monster, lifts the front end all the way up without even trying, Ive got to learn how not to pop wheelies at stop signs now, the Popo dont appreciate that im told. My goal is to have an offroad set of wheels and tires and a supermoto set, and add some more modern plastics to it, like off a wr450 or yz450, turn it into an oldschool supermotard.

Congrats on the off-road ride! I know the feeling as I've also added an '09 KLR 650 to the CBR 1k and VFR stable! I think I've got all the bases covered now: sport, touring, sport-touring, adventure touring, off road, track day, iron butt, etc.
