I was thinkiong when I saw this when you posted these pix in your introduction that you had yourself a sweet ride. That is a nice looking bike and appears to be in great shape. Does it run as good as it looks? I have to say, that colour on that gen is not common at all. Is that an original colour or do you know if it has been painted?

Thanks everyone, i LOVE it! I am 99% sure it was painted somewhere down the line of owners, i know they only come in red white and blue, so it had to be. The F1r pipes are in great shape, as well as brand new tires, and clutch spring. She runs great, except one small thing, when its hot it doesnt like to start up as easily, so I wait 10 or 15 minutes. When on though, she runs awesome!! Its been a great 1st bike so far, loads of fun, not wheelie fun though, not yet atleast... :)

Looks real nice. I painted a buddy's NightHawk S yellow and it looks great. You can see it coming a mile away.

I was considering a repaint of yellow over the winter if I keep mine. I used to race yellow suzuki mx'ers years ago. Thanks to you, I have a better idea of how it might look.

It looks in decent, clean shape. Tell us more about it such as mileage, history, etc. I am sure that someone will have some ideas on your hot start problem. Do you have to use the choke on cold starts? How many turns out are your pilot jets?

I had one of these bikes new a few decades ago. They were not wheelie machines then either, not without a good tug and a slip of the clutch (or a passenger, lol)

....and yes, those are the cleanest F1's I have seen lately.

It has 22k miles on it, something that didnt bother me at all since its water cooled.
Michael E, I dont usually have to use the choke on cold starts, but I do sometimes, it can help. Im not a gearhead so troubleshooting this annoying problem is even harder but i tried making a gravity feed and bypassing the fuel pump, didnt solve it. Thinking about spark plugs and such too. JamieDaugherty, gave me some TSB on a problem with internal venting in the carb float bowls. Not exactly sure what it means but we'll see.

Nice bike man it is really clean. I've had mine for about two years now and I love it even though it is currently down right now due to body upgrades. Here is a pic of it.
