    hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum. As a previous 95 VFR owner I new I'd be happy with my y2k selection. I picked up a 2000 VFR 800Fi about 2 weeks ago with 20k miles on it and decided I didn't like the yellow very much so I got her painted all black. I love the all black!!! It came with a Two-brothers exhaust already installed so that saved me some money. I've added long bar ends which really helped with the vibration, I painted the windscreen black, and I've ordered a sargent seat (waiting). On the way also are some wave rotors and SS break lines because my front rotors are warped. I'm done with the modifications after that except maybe for some decals. I'm looking forward to all the rides. If anyones in Austin, TX, give me a shout. I'd love to go out on a ride one weekend and meet some other VFR owners.

Hello and welcome to the nuthouse! :loco::crazy: We have several Tx members, not sure about Austin though.

BTW, your bike looks sweeeeeet! Black is beautiful! Until it gets scratched and dirty like my old F150. Sure did look beautiful before it was all scratched up though....

Welcome aboard. Although it makes me sad that it is no longer yellow, the paint job looks good.

Looks really good! Been thinking of doing that with my 04. Still have a bit of body work to do before I can do paint. Did you paint it or have it done? Nice looking bike.

I took the bike all apart and found a guy who paints locally out of his garage. He stripped all 7 pieces, painted it, and gave me two coats of clear for $350. I painted the windshield myself with some Walmart Krylon plastic paint. Overall, I think he did a pretty decent job. There a few small pits on the front but otherwise, it's shinny. I've already put a real deep coat of wax on it. I'll probably do another here in a week or two when I get some time.

    Thanks for the comments,
