my new 1985 vf500f with pic

my 85 vf500f with 14xxx miles
I love it and it runs awesome, i was told that it spent a few years in a dealership showroom. but it wouldnt suprise me for how clean it is.

Also where can i get a pair of slip-ons?

Nice pic. I loved the VF's when they were first released. The tri-color at the time was awesome.

what about a seat cowl, anybody know where to get one of those?

also would getting a slipon for a 1000 or something and just bolting in on the exhaust pipe and make my one hanger, would that work?

basically getting a universal type slip on in a decent size and makeing it fit?

well.....hmm........yea...but it took me forever to find them, and if i do sell them, it wont be cheap, as i pay a pretty pennie for them.

Does anyone know what brand those grips/bar ends are. They look fantastic.

 

Really? Have you ever ridden with those big kind? They make your hands hurt like hell. I need to take some pictures of what I do to my 500's: I cut the bars down to the length needed for modern grips then I use those generic $10 bar ends. Looks nice I think.

and those grips came on the bike when i bought it, they are plastic chrome with little rubber strips for grip and i think they look kind of tacky, but they dont "hurt" really at all.

anybody know where to get different grips that fit?

anyone have and answer on getting a universal slip-on and custom making a pipe to mount up?

Beautiful bike...brings back memories. Exactly like my first bike I got 19 years ago with 4000 miles on it. Bought it for $3700, put on some supertrapp slip-ons from Dennis Kirk. Sold it for around $4000 after putting about 12,000 miles on it. Stupidest thing I ever did was selling that bike.

 

Here you go. Sorry about the goofy carbon look bar ends, that's all my dealership had that day except for red or blue, so it was the lesser of evils I thought. Eventually they will be silver/aluminum.
