What a difference a few mods and rebuilds make to the VFR. It's taken me one and a half years, only way to not upset the wife with how much money I've spent on the bike. So far: Pair valve removal and installed block off plates. Hot Cams shim kit and adjusted valve clearence back to spec. (only three valves needed attention) Staintune pipe. Seat remade to suit me. JD rear shock with 15mm rear lift. Complete front fork rebuild, with Racetech springs and revalve. New tapered head bearings. Raised front forks 8mm up tripple clamps. New RK gold chain and sprockets with one tooth less front (16/43T). Hi flow air filter. New disk rotors with HH pads. Rebuild all master and secondary cylinders and dismantle/clean all clutch/brake components. New clutch plates and +10% springs. Metzeler Z8 tyres (on second set now) Iridium plugs. Coil on plug install. Gen 6 radiators. Hepco and Becker sports rack with 50L top box. New billet shorty clutch and brake levers. Rear cowling cut out to suit rack. Nautilus compact air horns. Osram Night Breaker head light bulbs. Remove earth block and all stator/RR plugs and rewire with heavier gauge wiring and soldered joints. Installed volt meter. I think that's it, It has made a great bike even better. It has 77000k's now and rides like new. The biggest difference is the suspension, it was money very well spent. It now steers faster and is super stable in corners.
