Hello Just wanted to say hello - I got to admit I mined VFRWORLD extensively for info during my latest project and I wanted to say thanks. The carb rebuild DIY posted by Hopit88 was a terrific help - and that is only a part of the useful tidbits of info I found here. Had an 86 VFR 700 in pieces in the garage for the last two years waiting for me to get to it. Got it cheap off a guy who started a rebuild but ran out of time and storage space. I finally found some time myself and I just finished her mechanically - cosmetically she needs a bit more work. With the cold weather just around the corner I got impatient so I threw a coat of rustoleum on so it wouldn't look like I was riding a leper. I will take her back apart and give it real paint job as a winter project. The ride was a heck of a lot of fun - for an old bike it still has a lot get up and go. I have had quite a few Honda's, usually inline fours - I have an 83 nighthawk that is my usual ride as of late. I was surprised at the overall difference in the feel and sound of the VFR engine and the hawk. I should have gotten a viffer years ago. The pics show stages of the bikes progress back from the abyss culminating in today's version with all of the various bits put back into one beautiful machine. Can't wait to go riding again tomorrow. Thanks Kevin
