Hi This is all about my 2001 VFR800Fi which I bought 3 years ago, it's a silver beauty, but had been in an accident, in June 2004, and I bought it with front end damage.............in February 2005... I know it's a long time ago, and I have been slowly, ever so slowly, buying parts from ebay, so that...I could repair it....I have to mention that at the same time I also bought 3 other bikes which I am also...slooowly repairing.. My latest problem has been undoing the bolt which holds the exhaust next to the catalytic converter, and thanks to a recent mattress change, I have been able to lie the bike down, and finally ( heaven be praised ) to see the problem nut !!!!....The reason for having to take this action is that I have removed all the front end, and the tank, and the side stand, and the main stand, leaving a very unstable bike to try and hold level.... So 2 days ago I bought a hacksaw and am now cutting the exhaust into pieces, so that hopefully soon I can get my ' nut splitter ' onto the problem nut, and crack it's brains out !! When I have some photos......I will put them up.....the front cylinder head casing is damaged, so there are quite a few things to do...before the bike can rise from the ashes bye for now Roy
