Love this bike, probably going to do 929 rear shock. Nobody has ever said how they truly like it after having it on for a long period of time though?

If you weigh anything over 170 lbs I would get the spring rate increased before you put it on. Otherwise it will be coming back off due to lack of sag settings. I had Jamie do mine for me recently but only a ride 2 up to Monterey so far. I need to get the spanner to adjust the preload and see how the sag will set now.

    WOW $10 for a 94. Good find!

i got a 929 shock on mine. although a lot better than the 16 year old stocker, it sucks because there is no way to reach the adjustment when its installed. so no tuning..... not sure if its different for the 4th gens

nice bike bro, love the highmount! I have progressive front and back so no help on the 929 shock but I can +1 on getting it built for your weight before installing. It makes a HUGE difference

Oh, lol, not progressive as in "progressive spring rate".. progressive as in "Progressive suspension" the company  the rear is a coilover with a piggy back much like an entry level Ohlins, the front is just springs and valves. I know what you mean, Im 6'7" 345lbs.. like a small building  stock suspension doesent do us big guys any good  my stuff wasnt built for someone quite my size.. im about 50lbs heavier than the guy it was built for but with some adjustment It does everything I need it to for my riding style/ability. Im not sure of the newer springs will fit, im sure someone will chime in that knows the answer.
