So I picked up the 91 vfr 750 with 22k miles.

Within the first few days, I ended up dropping it on the trailer. Landing on the side rail of the trailer. See carnage below.

So after several weeks of locating replacement panels, and bashing my head against hard objects. I took all her clothes off. The decided while I had it down for paint, better make a few mods while I elbow deep.

Starting with the exhaust. The OEM is very silent. Not something I was a fan of, so I decided to make a shorty out of the OEM. Gutted the insides somewhat.

So after giving the old gal a tune up with new plugs, oil change, coolant flush with Engine Ice, new brake pads on the front and rear, new brake fluid and clutch fluid, and K&N air filter. The bike had a bad idle. Really rough at low rpms. So a big special thanks goes out to Toe Cutter for taking the time to clean and adjust the carbs for the bike. Had one minor hic-up. Fuel tube O-ring dried out and took a few days to expand and seal. But other than that, flawless work. Also to add, when reinstalling the intake manifold. Carbs have to be stretched apart. Extra careful doing this.

The O-ring that took 3 days to re-seal.

But while I was waiting the few weeks for the carbs to be turned around back to me, I decided to upgrade the forks on the bike. Since they would dive like an Olympic diver going for the gold. I choose to rebuild with racetech 1.0k/g springs.

    The Goodies:

So after the forks I started on the body work, as I had been sanding periodically throughout the process of all the other work. This is what the bike looks like being finished. One more panel is being re-painted due to some bad reaction on a 4"x4" section. I will also add, I am far from a professional painter. But not too shabby for an amateur.

So I also have some parts that I have in hand, that are yet to be installed. Being:

Ohlins Shock - Wanting to install tonight, but I dont foresee this happening.

    And its installed-
    FU beta!

520 chain and sprockets. -1 front +2 rear.
(No pics of this yet) I will take some pics after I get it installed.

    Pazzo Racing levers
(no pics of this yet) Will take some pics after I get them installed.

Thing on my wanted list :
-A SEAT!!! Corbin, sargant, I dont care. Anything other than OEM.
    -Factory Pro Shift Kit
    -SS Braided Clutch line
    -SS Braided Brake lines
    -Galfer front and rear rotors

    Thanks for looking.
    -
Special thanks to those who assisted, guided me, and helped in any way.
Toe - For your carb skill.
Beta - For your donation of the tank.
Any one else who throw info my way - Thanks.

you can barely see where you installed the nitrous, turbo and hyperectifier. Nice touch on the cross drilled bake lines!

Updated with the installation of the shock. Maybe this weekend buckle down and get the chain and sprocket on. But not before I bath the bike and myself.

    Thanks.

VIR wont come fast enough. But I need some more time to add a few other things to the bike. Not to mention track gear.

Slowly but surely the correct way.

Took a small 200-300 mile ride today, testing out the shock. Man I absolutely love it. Took a few times to get the settings right for my riding style. Overall very satisfied with the suspension.

Considering the fork valve kit for future purchases now.

    Its a buggy bug world.

Mounted the adjusters this morning. Since I didnt have any brackets, I thought I would be creative and start drilling holes in the bike. Opinions?

I dont like the placement of the cylinder. Thinking about relocating to the other side. Tucked under so its not visible . Once again, opinions?

like the mounts - would clip the water clamps and put allen rounded head bolts thru (cleaner look) in the reservoir - other than that needs a wash and a good rider
