    Hi all

Just wanted to share some pics of my streetfighter conversion in its latest form. I have been constantly changing bits and pieces for the last couple of years and dont think i will ever be completely happy but at least it keeps me entertained.
    What ive done so far

    removed all fairings(obviously)
pulled wiring harness completely and started again to hide wiring
new ignition coils as originals were getting a bit old
removed carbs and cleaned thoroughly, refitted with new rubbers
    new clutch plates and springs
    new chain and sprockets
repaired rear cowling as was getting a bit sad and repainted
new clutch and brake levers(cheap alloy ones off ebay, love them)
    staintune hi-rise exhaust
relocated regulator rectifier to get more airflow and did wiring conversion(yet to be proven if this has worked)
    fitted Acewell electronic speedo unit
    new headlights
Drilled top triple and fitted pro taper bars

Next on the list to do

new springs and gold valves for the front end
rear shock( wish Jamie Daughtry was a bit closer, postage would kill me)
maybe engine rebuild(still going fine though with 140k's on the clock)
    pretty stainless exhaust system

This is the second 90 model i have owned and i dont think i will ever sell this one. Would love to find one in original condition one day.
Hope you guys like what i have done.

Nice! From a profile view it almost looks like a bulked up NT-650 (Hawk). +1 on the headlights, very clean looking. From other post I've read on street fighter projects, the wiring harness seems to be the toughest to conceal without the front farings.

    Cheers

Thanks for the comments guys, always good to hear others views.
Yes the wiring was a bit tricky, and very time consuming. You dont realise how much is mounted behind that fairing until you have to find somewhere else to put it. The coils were relatively easy once i thought outside the square, ended up with them hanging off the front of the airbox(snorkel removed). Fuse box under the seat where the pillion handles used to fold into and then just finding space to run all the wires. I have done the wiring twice now but still not completely happy but will do for now until the next time i get bored and deciede to change things again.
    Cheers

The wiring was a pain in the butt to do, i cut it to pieces and started again and have done it twice now and still not happy with it.Basically i found a home for all the bits and pieces(fuse box, headlight relays, coils etc)and then joined the wires back together trying to do it in a fashion where if i ever needed to seperate the loom to get at something i could. If you want to send me a PM with your email i can get some photos to send to you but bear in mind i am no expert and am still discovering things i have done wrong.

Would like to relocate the cooler but cant come up with a place for it.Tried on the bottom of the radiator but the wheel hit it at full compression. If anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them as i am coming up with blanks on this one.
Thanks for the comment s guys, glad you like it. I much prefer to ride it like this, suits my style better.
    Cheers

The first two pics are cool. Would love the front end from the first pic and a version of the exhaust in the second. Have always wondered how they find places to put all the electrics when there is so little tail to put it all in/under.

The consensus majority on this site don't appreciate streetfighters, naked, or stunt bikes so you'd probably get better feedback elsewhere...

To be honest, i would never have done it had all the plastics not been basically destroyed and extremely expensive/virtually impossible to replace.
I am glad i did it now though as i much prefer to ride it this way. Each to their own i guess.
    Cheers

good on you dude dont listen to negitive comment silly really its your bike, my farings where damaged also you can get them plastic welded

i fixed my own front guard with solider iron works great , how did you get the headlights mounted, i was going try this as my faring is very damaged

i brought new headlight as orginal was smashed beyond repair ,and faring frame was very twisted but used sledge hammer when was on the bike in the end ;-) very carefully though, trouble is all faring was basically there till rode bike on open road lost, both middle sections . aghhh

so if you got bits no matter how small i buy them of you get them welded

i tell you fixing bike when got no idea where and how faring goes to toghter as you only seen bike smashed up was real joy hehe

Nice work. All that wiring in the front is scary! Had a short in one once. A real PITA..

You might find a Works Performance outlet for your rear shock.. The stockers suck but can be rebuilt.

One small styling/paint suggestion. The seat shroud on the 90-93s is massive. Black diminishes the profile some. I split mine into two colors and painted the showing frame member black with a skosh of flattner.

This being the now world famous mach 1 91, the fastesist VFR in the universe. Faster than a speeding bullet, and more powerful than a locomotive and all that shit..;)
