Sold the old Ninja 500, bought a '91 VFR to join my '98 for a more capable touring rig when my son and I tour with our sport-touring group. Has new fork springs and oil, new clutch and brake fluid, new tires, newer chain and sprockets and new stator/wiring/reg rect. Does have cosmetic issues and carbs will be coming off soon for a good cleaning to clean what I believe is a slighty restricted main jet. But starts, idles, runs great and everything works. I could do worse for $1800. And it has that fantastic 8 spoke rear wheel and a great sounding Vance and Hines exhaust.

That's a good find! In my opinion the 3rd gen was always the best looking VFR.

I could sit and drink beer and look at both of them all day. The 3rd gen feels lighter, but the 5th gen accelerates better, for now...

Don't look now, but someone has been parking a Harley in front of your house.

Hey Bernieswanson, I see you are close by. Why have we not had a northwest VFR rally? There are so many of us here in the Pacific Northwest and Canada, and so many good roads to choose from not only here in our state, but eastern Oregon, Canada, etc.

By the way, the white VFR is my favorite color, and I think the best looking VFR of them all..

I 'm all for it. Biggest decision would be which VFR to ride. Where do you live? I have several friends with VRFs.

I live in Wenatchee. This could be fun if we can get a Northwest VFR Rally together!
