I was just curious if any of you listen to anything while driving? Out here in the sticks there isn't always something to look at while riding so music would be good but the wind noise makes that a problem. I don't want to just "turn it up" over the noise of the wind and blow out my ears. vic
My VFR has a Techmount stem mount which holds my Verizon Dare touch screen. It plays music loud enogh to hear with no earbuds required when I'm just cruising around town. It also has GPS which has bailed me out a time or two.
I wear disposable ear plugs and listen to music through my Scala Rider ear speakers. The ear plugs block out the wind noise, and the music comes through loud and clear.
I tried some earplug speakers and they pretty much completely stopped the wind noise and sounded great. Only problem is they are a pain in @ss to keep in place while putting on the helmet!! Does anyone have a better way of getting them in or other speaker options? I don't like listening to music all the time, mainly I like the time to reflect, but occasionaly I like to. Wasn't trying to hyjack the thread but I think the two questions go hand in hand....
Ditto here. Well, except the fact that my soundtrack is provided by Staintune. The guy 1/2 mile down the street has a GoldWing with an Alpine in it. When he's representing, I can hear his stereo in my truck, over the truck noise, windows up, AC on & my CD's playing. KC-10 FE out... lane: :usa2:
Personally, one of the reasons I ride a motorcycle is so that I can get quality time away from computers, TVs, phones and all that other electronic sh!t. The experience of motorcycling to me is meditative. Why ruin it by taking along a copy of "20 Golden Greats" or some junk like that? Each to his own I suppose.
