The Multi-Display unit on my 2000VFR is randomly resetting. The unit will blank out and then reset the clock and the tripometer. This is a random occurrence in respect to time, temperature, day, night, speed, etc. Dealer only spent half an hour trouble shooting, but with no luck. Any one else out there experience or can provide some input?
Mine did it last week, actually in front of the Electrex place. It's a sign of loss of electrical power. I'm going through all my connections, cleaning and greasing. all the best, Mike
Sounds like the textbook precursor to Regulator/Rectifier failure. Pretty common VFR ailment. HTH, Jake
