Still a newb here...I am debating buying an MRA screen for my '93. OriginalScreen is too plain; Vario TouringScreen is a little much. Does anyone have either the SpoilerScreen or TouringScreen on their rides? I can't decide between the two.

Most of my riding is commuting, only about 5 miles at a time; I go on the occasional weekend ride<100 miles, and every other month or so I'll do a 200+ mile ride. I'm in the CA high desert, so I have to contend with a lot of wind year-round, and I'll be relocating to Okinawa later this year (wind & rain).

    Opinions? Recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Lots of views, no responses, so I'll assume nobody has one (?). I ordered the TouringScreen through TwistedThrottle, but it won't ship until June 3rd. Guess I'll post a product review when it finally gets here.

    Thanks for looking, though!

Sorry, I missed this post (out of town). I have an MRA VarioTouring on an '07. The airflow is raised compared to stock, and is very smooth. It is still not high enough to keep bugs from making a major mess on my face shield, however, which is what I was hoping for.

What is pretty neat is that you can adjust it for additional airflow to support your upper body a bit if you want to. All in all, I am satisfied with it. I also tried a Puig Touring screen, but it had the airflow right about the same height as the MRA does.

Lgn001, thanks for the input! Do you have any pics of your VarioTouringScreen on your bike?

I'm upgrading mostly for appearance, but for a little extra wind protection as well, which is why I finally decided on the TouringScreen vice the SpoilerScreen. I'm 5'6" w/a 30" inseam, so I have a slight advantage in getting under the turbulence. Besides, the wife said the VarioTouringScreen would be ugly on mine!

    Again, thanks for the reply.

**just checked your gallery and saw the screen in your rear view pic. Got a side view?

    Hey the Annoman,

How'd that windscreen work out for you? I'm 5'11 and with the stock screen I'm constantly eating a face full of wind...

    Happy riding!!

I have the vario touring screen on my 93. Superior to the plain flip up screen for both airflow and looks, nicely built as well.

    Hey Guys,

I have the screen on my '07, here's a photo of it. I love it. The adjustment is great, depending if you want more airflow on your upper body or over your head (I'm only 5'7" tall so it wizzes the air right over my head.)

I live in South Wales, about 1000ft above sea level and it gets pretty windy around here as well and this screen performs admirably.

I would definitely recommend this touring screen, I'd buy another one if and when I trash this one.

    maddbass,
I have no problems with wind as a result of the install. I actually have to raise up in the saddle a little bit if I need "extra" wind (to clear a fogging face shield or blow rain drops off). Directs the turbulence around me perfectly, and even created a small negative pressure zone right above the triple tree like on a Buell 1125, though I don't think it was an intent of the screen's design.
I'm actually going back to the stock screen very soon since I don't tour as much on the VFR any more (bought a Victory Vegas 8-ball for that).

I don't know what brand the seat is, it may be one that a previous owner had modified but I love it

I found it so so, but its okay but dosn`t reduce the amount of air I was hoping but im 6.2, thinking of trying a Givi D217S Windscreen for long trips and my MRA for general use.

Hey Crapy who is the maker of your seat ?
