Mounting non-vfr exhaust cans on a VFR 1200?

    Does anyone know if it's possible (without being a professional metalworker) to custom mount an exhaust for a different brand/model of bike to a VFR 1200? I saw a youtube video of a guy who mounted a GYTR can, and another with a pipe intended for a ZX-10R.

    Is it just a matter of finding a pipe with the same size inlet as the VFR and then fabbing some method of mounting it?

    That's me with the gytr can. I had to cut and weld the factory midpipe. Very simple just need mild welding skils. Or finding one with the same diameter mid and bending it.
