Motorcycle show Long Beach

I'll be working there in the Yamaha space tomorrow from 9:30 am to 3pm or so. Come by, say hi!

We were doing the scout launch for Indian.
Will you be in NYC or any of the others?
I'll be at the Minneapolis one as well.

 

I went by the booth today and chatted with Lint for a bit. I also met up with OutboardJohn but I forgot to get photo proof we met! Here's proof I met up with Lint...

SO, here is how my day went:

So, I worked the Yamaha booth at the Progressive International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach. I got there at 9 a.m. and left at 8 p.m. I have a great time, talked to tons of people and it was a fantastic day, in spite of a sore back due to standing for so long. At least it was a fantastic day right up to the point that I realized at the end of the day that someone had stolen my $80 two month old gloves.

Who the F*&K steals someone's gloves at a motorcycle show? I mean you can't ride without them, which I had to do, all 70 miles home.

I freaking loved those gloves and I can't really at this point afford to replace them. I don't get life sometimes. I had a great happy day, only to have a thief put a low point on the end. It really sucks there are people like this in the world.

 

It was nice chatting with you Daryl. Wish that I had seen this yesterday, I would have gone by Yamaha and introduced myself to the Linster. Hi Lint Better late than never eh

Sorry about your gloves Lint, thieves suck! Hopefully karma catches them sooner, rather than later. When you're at the show tomorrow, visit one of the vendors and tell them what happened, maybe they'll at least drop the sales tax off the price. I'd donate a pair to you if I had any spares laying around, not sure we wear the same size glove though.

Nothing was left on my bike, it was actually in a backpack in an enclosed display. I don't know what exactly happened, I just know it sucks.

 

DEFFINATLEY let your Yamaha lead, management know it was stolen in his display. ..

 

Oh man what a way to screw up a perfect day, sorry to hear this, yea some folks.. Really? WTF is that about anyway. That and it sorta sounds like an inside job, it's not like you left them out, they had to go digging. Definitely let the PIC yamaha booth personnel know if you haven't yet.

Yeah, I was a volunteer. I haven't contacted Yamaha yet, it was really busy there because of the really nice weather. I'll call the owner of the shop and talk to him, maybe he can get some action from Yamaha.
