I've just got back from a 30 mile ride and noticed my volt meter at a stop light , now I'm worried. I set off from home to the first set of lights and noticed the volt meter reading 13.2 when I stopped , then as I waited for a green I watched the volts rise to 14.2 . Lights change and I'm off . A good ride with the temp bang on 80% c and 14.2 v showing for 30 miles not much traffic and a route I know well . . Happy days. Then I pull up on the driveway at home and the voltage is reading 13.2 , thinking it will rise as before I wait for it only to see 13.2 for a good 30 seconds. Why did it go up when cold but not hot ? ? ?

I wouldn't worry about this at all. Both are within acceptable range. It's goes up with rpm as it should. Seems normal to me.
