Do you have a link so we can look at it? Sounds interesting.

    Well no , but..

Not a good mod in my opinion. This requires parts of the upper fairing removed/trimmed , and I'm very doubtful about clearance at full lock.
The kits do include the required longer brake and clutch lines.
It looks pants fitted, and the bike is not designed for this type of riding position.

Buy some risers like mine, or go for some Gilles Variobars or convertibars if you must adjust more, but there's very little wrong with the riding position on the VFR anyway..

Here's a link to the same question asked elsewhere..http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=27073&hl=

    handlebars

the link for spiegler performance parts is: www.spieglerusa.com
scroll down left column to handlebar riser kits
    select manufacturer
select model the vfr800f has a photo of the bar on a vfr 98-01,click photo
the vfr800ie is for 02- 06 which does not have a photo

I called the company and they say clearance is not a problem and on the 02 and later factory cables work. CIRV

    Aye but..

The Pre-vtec kit still needs the fairing and screen trimmed.

The VTEc kit (according to their own website) does NOT include a new top-yoke, merely the clamp-on adapter, doesn't include new hoses (as the factory ones work) and DOES include their choice of handlebar..(thought your personal choice was the whole idea..

The handlebar adapter will actually put the bars further away from the rider than stock...

why then is it still the same price as the kits which give all the bits ?

I still think it looks pants.

How far forward will your "front" hand be on a full-lock turn ?

There's a similar link in my original post on the other thread on VFRD which does have a picture of the VTEC kit fitted, although to be fair, I think this is a different manufacturer.

I would just go with the Helibars. They aren't that expensive, and all of the stock lines still fit with them. I got a pair on my bike, and it greatly alleviated the pressure on my wrists - now I can ride all day without much fatigue.
