Thanks for posting this Captain! Excellent price at $25 but I swooped it up for the sellers offer of $20!

You won't find an intact example like this at that price again likely. Pretty rare. Sometimes the upper and lower "halves" which are spot plastic-welded together will start to separate from vibration or being knocked. Easy fix which is not visible at all.

Good score, glad somebody nabbed it.

Yep, the bike I just bought is missing the lower half. I'll try to separate the new one for the lower half because the upper half blue stripes on the bike are 100% intact.

Tx for 411 Cap, mine had separated but there was no physical damage. The plastic welds don't seem like a very robust fastening method.

I used silicone sealant - are other methods worth trying?

A good 2-part plastic weld epoxy or ABS glue would work great as well.

When all else has failed, break out the JB Weld!

This stuff is awesome. I've found the 2-part reaction can get hot enough to slightly melt (weld) the parts together on some plastics, as well as get the strength from the epoxy bond. I've used it for years and have had zero issues. Sandable and paintable. Also if you back up a crack with some sheet ABS plastic the repair is solid as fuck. Just "liquid" enough to work around and smear, but not runny and stays in place. Starts to get hot and cure pretty fast. Works great on fiberglass too.

Stinks tho, as it should. Stuff that smells good, rarely works as good.
