    Hi guys,
my 2002 vtec mirror on throttle side is vibrating when accelerating. It didn't do it before. I have had repair done on the opposite side including that mirror being replaced. Any ideas, remedies? All bolts/screws are tight. Could it be coming from lower down ie engine mount? I've no experience tinkering with bikes but know my way around cars so can manage most things with a little guidance... Cheers

Hi Boxvfr and welcome to the MadHouse:welcome:

When you get a chance please swing by the "introductions" forum and say Hi to the rest of the folks on here - and maybe include a photo or two of your VFR - as the folks on here really do like photos. (click the "insert image" icon and follow the prompts to select and upload a photo from your computer). If you check out some of the other posts you will see there is a growing number of forum members in Australia, so it makes sense to update your forum profile (Forum Actions/Edit Profile) to include the specs of your bike and an approximate location. That way they will appear automatically alongside all your posts and if you need help you may find someone living nearby is willing to swing by and offer help/advise especially if you have a well stocked beer fridge:drink:.

    :focus:

If the vibration you report has only been visible since the "repair" work you refer to was carried out. I suspect something was not done up correctly. Even if the mirror stem bolts are tight - the thing it attaches to may be loose.

If you have access to basic set of tools and hex head key set, put the bike on the main stand and carefully tap panels to see if there is something obviously loose - if so remove the front end panels and investigate and fix. On my VFR the image on both mirrors is never perfectly stable under full acceleration, but the extent to which the view vibrates is basically similar.
