    Hey y'all,
I found oil in the airbox today, not much but enough to form a small puddle in the corner. Is this common? Also my fuel mileage has been slowly decreasing from 200 miles/tank to about 130 with very little riding style change.Any suggestions? The bike only has 5k on her and the po let it sit long enough to stop up the fuel lines with gunk and such.Any advice would be great.

vac lines may be off or clogged causing a breathing problem and too much pressure in the crankcase. I'd get in there and have a look. Good thing VFR's have radiators on the sides so its easy to get to the engine when the fairing is off!!! We all wish...

I'd check the compression on all cyls. Blow-by can cause high crankcase pressures which will blow a little oil into the airbox. How many miles on the bike? It wouldn't be the end of the world if you were to find a little oil in the airbox on a high mileage bike, just not too much. Like posted before, vac lines off or cracked could also cause your loss in mileage. How's the power?

Check the level of oil. If it is too high it can be sucked into the airbox and filter.

I've got some oil in mine as well, but with 43k miles! Mileage around town is about low 30's.

    Hey all,
The oil level is good and only 5,000 miles on the bike,so i don't think compression should be an issue. The power is still incredible although this weekend I rode it hard once (from 60-120) and I felt it surge a couple times.Other than that its great. I did originally find a vacuum line off when I first got it and did a check over it.
Thanks for all the help guys! I will check over it again to make sure I didn't miss another or a cracked one.
