I'm looking at putting Pr4s on my 97 vfr. I can find a standard 120/70-17 for the front, but only a 170/60-17 in the GT version for the rear. The GT version is for heavier sport touring bikes like the fjr or the r1200rt. Do you think this GT version would be ok on the vfr or should I look for something different?

They only make the gt version in that size. That's what I was going to try next. You will be fine.

That's what I got for mine. I haven't installed it yet, so can't offer any review.

Hate to break it to you, but the VFR - even the 97 - IS one of those heavier sport touring bikes...

I have not heard of anyone running the GT's on VFR's. They are made for heavier bikes than a VFR but I bet they would be fine. Email Michelin.

I know the GT versions are made for heavier bikes like in the 600lb range or so. I ended up ordering the Pirelli Angel GT rear and ST front. I'll let you know what I think of them after a few hundred miles.
