I currently have Continental Road Attacks with 3500 miles on them. As a beginner would the Michelins make a difference? I have a SED upcoming at VIR and other track days later. Don't plan on pushing things but if the Michelins will siginficantly improve grip then it might be worth it.

I don't mean to start a tire war as I am sure there are many other good choices.

    SED with NESBA?

Get the Power Pures and start with fresh tires. Especially for an all day event like the SED.

Also, you run lower tires pressures at the track. Before tech inspection in the am I drop my fronmt to 29-30 psi and same with the rear.

Although I run Pirelli's, the Power Pures have gotten good reviews when you search them.

No worries on the 'tire war'. Most of the modern tires out aimed for street and track use are very good.

Outstanding performance on the track for May 13th SED. Tires would not let go with the track dry or wet at all angles and speed. I called and gave data to an interested Michelin rep.

The tires continue to excel. VIR and Summit Point no issues.

Three more track days. Tires are doing well. No issues. Once suspension is tuned I can better test their "turn in" capability.
