I ride a silver 2003 VFR800 equipped with Honda OEM saddle bags, tour box, taller GIVI windshield, with a handle bar conversion using Honda OEM ST-1300bars & throttle cables, and aftermarket hydrolic lines for the clutch and front brakes. I live in Ankeny Iowa[Des Moines] USA and use this bike as a secondary bike to my silver 2003 Honda St-1300. I have been around Honda motorcycles since 1961 and currently work at our local Honda dealership in the new bike assembly department. I've always wanted a VFR and wished I would have purchased an earlier model that uses the cam gears vs. the cam chain system. The best sound is an earlier VFR with a Two Brothers exhaust system ala an Indy 500 car sounding bike. WOW!

My wife and I enjoy spending 2 weeks each Fall traveling the western USA on one of our bikes, usually just before and after the Labor Day weekend. We also follow the Iowa Hawkeyes football team to each bowl game each winter and have had the pleasure of riding in central and southern Florida in 2003 -2006.

    Best riding to all,

    Mike Mathews

welcome to the group mike. glad you made it here... you would love to hear my bike if that's the way you feel. I'm running a 5g VFR with 2bros and K&N air filter with a PCII. I enjoy it on a regular basis, SLOVFR gets to really know how nice it sounds, though as he is usually on my 6.
