I have been hanging out here for better than a decade + as well as a handful of other diehard fooles.....(like me)
But there are some newbies that havent seen some of the geek fodder I occasionally generate and also, mostly for shit eating grins, I sell a few bits for VFR800s..... I get a kick out of seeing my parts on other guys bikes.

So with that ---- If you do a R/R FH020AA or SH847 replacement on a 6th gen, skip the roadstercycle mounting! You will end up fighting it! Grab one of mine - these mount plates are designed to fit up, bolt up quickly no hassle, so you can get your bike on the road.

    And some madness :Bounce:

Looking at a 2007 vfr and reading about the r/r , is it needed to update a 07 and is there a kit that its just a plug and go, no cutting wires and soldering, I am just looking into these repairs before I pull the trigger. Thanks

Roadstercycle 847 kit is outstanding when used with Mello's mount. The 847 does require cutting the 3 stator wires to mate to the provided plug but marine grade crimps are provided. Soldering is better for ANY electrical work but the crimps are high quality. The mount you can get from Roadster works but is a little vague on fit, Mello's appears to be properly shaped and well thought out. I will post pictures of it when I finally get home from work next week.

Giving it a total thumbs up. Nice piece. Fitted well with no muss. Given the disaster week I've had this was a pleasure to install.

Yeah, awesome!!! The 775 is OEM Polaris #4012941 and is series-type that's even more efficient and cooler than 020 shunt-type (can touch it after ride). I get +10% more MPG on any bike I install 775 unit. My race-bike gets 2-mph higher top-speed! :)

I'm happy with the 847, it stays cool even with lights off. I'm all about racing equipment, hell I had an engine business back in the 90's but what works works.
