Ok guys now ive logged a few hundred miles on my new bike and i have some thoughts.
Cornering: although it corners well the amount of feedback is nil. I guess its doing the job so well that a lack of feel is natural but I find myself having to just throw it in there on faith alone.....that will take some getting used to.

Power: More than i expected I find myself going faster than i think i am........mabee just not used to having a fairing to cut the wind(im coming of a 599).

Ergos: Not much more to be said.. hands down best ive ever ridden.

Brakes: The linked brakes took me a while to warm up to but now that im up to speed i have no complaints. As for the ABS It has already saved my arse once and probably will again. Thumbs up.

First to do list: K&N filter,Zero gravity double bubble & Cruise control , all to be installed tomorrow.

I have a 3000km trip planned for mid june so i will post another rant about luggage, milage etc then but so far so good!!!!!!!

    thanks for listenin' meddle.:peace:

What type of tires do you have? The Dunlop D204K's that came on my bike had the feedback of rubbing a rock on the road. The Continental Road Attack I'm currently using are so far and away a better tire that I would suggest they should be the OEM tire for the VFR.

It's got D204's.. My replacement will probably be Michelin pilot sports.

I would actually recommend that you get rid of them now without waiting for them to wear out. Mine were that bad.

My next tire is going to be the Metzeler Sportec M3. I met a guy a the local BMW dealer that has a total of over 200,000 miles on motorcycles. He says they're the best tire he's ever ridden on. I like the M1 on my Hawk so I'll give the M3 a try.

Pilot sport is about as race as you can get for the street, and will provide phenomenal feedback and confidence. however due to the weight of the VFR it will square FAST. I suggest trying the pilot road, but If you prefer the feel over longevity you won't be disappointed with pilot power.

I will second that. I kept them on during the winter, no point wasting a good tire when your riding slow anyway. I have a bit over 5000k on mine and they most certainly don't get better with age. On my replacement list very soon.
