I'm going to go this route. Will this work or do I need some "name brand? "

You would rather adjust the cam chain tensioners every couple thousand miles, than replace them every 30,000 miles or so?
My CCT's have gotten loud at 30,000 and 60,000 miles, but I have heard of people making it to 80,000...

Most reviews by people that have them only touch them once every 10k miles. Even if I do adjust them every 10k, at least I don't have to keep buying new.

I went with American Performance Engineering (APE) manual cam chain tensioners on my '03.

Takes a bit of time to do it Lint but they're actually pretty simple to install and adjust.

The rear cylinder chain tensioner is easy enough to access but the front is a bit more complicated.

Coupla things under the fuel tank have to be moved out of your way to get in at it but it's doable.

Do I just leave the cap off of the tensioner, as there is no way to attach it?
