Has anyone tried a Mag-Knight magnetic tank bra?
    http://www.mag-knight.com/

They look like they really fit well and do a great job but what about dirt etc? I'm finding that I need something on my 98 but I'm still on the fence as to which way to go.

    Recomendations?

My 97 VFR, that I purchased from a New Orleans police chief, had one on it and I didn't have a problem with it. Made the bike look really sharp!

I have one and don't have any trouble with dirt. This has been a little cracking in the corners, but barely noticable. I think it's the best looking tank bra.

I had a Mag Knight on my '98. It looked good, and stayed on really well. However, the magnet and the faux carbon fiber cover seperated on a very hot day, and left a bit of a mess.

I did order one for my 03.It was my first accessory buy.
It did not work for me at all.
Called MagKnight and was told to go purchase a heat gun to soften the item up so it would adhere to the shape of the tank. Funny the ads don't mention buying a heat gun. Rented one and was very careful, even used a kitchen oven thermometer to watch the heat but still managed to bubble up the finish in two small spots and it still didnt fit well.
Called and emailed the company, suddenly they didn't want to talk to me.
Mailed it back with a very polite letter asking for some type of adjustment. I certainly didn't expect a full refund and stated this in my letter.I didn't get zip.Nada. Nothing. Didn't even get the item back to cut up into fridge magnets...

On the plus side everyone else I have used has been great.

    stnick,

that sucks. I will definitely not deal with them based on your experience. have you considered reporting them to the better business bureau. it's free and then they have to respond to you, or at least they will be more apt to reply to you anyway.

Thanks for the heads up. I was going to order one for my 03', but won't give my business to a company that treats it customers that poorly.

I purchased one for my 02 vfr, it did not fit well . The sides were ok, but I could never get it to lay down completely around the back. It also wrinkled where it met the Corbin seat. I already had a heat gun... I cut it into separate side pieces and used my original Honda ST1300 tank pad.
