White, 1989 Honda VFR750R RC30. As new and never been run. Complete with original stand, spare keys, owners handbooks and delivery literature. This bike has been carefully stored in climate controlled surroundings and has been the personal property of our Managing Director for many years. Launched late in 1987, the RC30 was a true 'homologation' special. Built to conform to the rules of the then new World Superbike Championship, it was truly exotic, (a direct descendent of the RVF750 race bike...

People are free to ask whatever they want for something they have.....
But by any standard I have seen, the price listed for this bike is way out beyond even dreamland.
81 Thousand Dollars could buy a Desmosedici, with money left over. Geeez.

I'm not saying I would spend the money, but this is a rare collector bike people. An RC30 sold in 2015 at Bonhams in Las Vegas for $52,900. The asking price actually does seem right, based on previous market sales.

    What a waste!

Three years ago, when my 10 years of stewardship RC went back to the fellow I got it from, it had a bit over 58,000 miles on it: including more than a couple of track days.

I'm with you Walter. I have a 1987 BMW M6 with 147K and still going. I bought the car to drive, not to keep it under 10K miles, and show it. I could never own something like an RC30 and not USE it.
