low beam burn out ?

Anyone have issues with your low beams burning out? <2005abs>
Mine just blew out. Both bulbs at the same time.....
Is that right?, (maybe due to some series wiring connection? ? ?)
My high beams still work.. all fused look good.
Getting replacement bulbs tomorrow . .
I hope nothing is shorting...
Just seems weird that both would go out at the same time..

If anyone knows if that is normal write back..

I haven't had that issue, but it does not sound normal...did you replace them and the new ones work, or is it a wiring issue...ie, the bulbs did not burn out, but a fuse did, or a wire got cut?

The ground issue would not cause bulbs to burn out. The monitor wire issue (which is not part of the recall) however, does.

Put a volt meter on your bike with the engine running at 5500rpm with the high beams on. It should not be over 15 volts.

 

Blown Low Beam Bulbs

Hi, I have the same issue with mine a 2005 ABS, has this issue been a reoccurring or a once off issue. As i am new to the bike and am not familiar with the bikes history. Is there something else i should look out for.

Any ideas would be appreciated,
