Nipomo / AG north up to Santa Marg area out to Pozo some time this weekend....saturday probably. Anybody?
working, but have a good time....don't come to visit me at work... that would be a bad thing since I'm working in the neuro-ICU.
hmmmmmmmm....wonder what that means............... Ok, then....meet you at the starbux @ 8:30!
It has something to do with what is east of the big pond on Halcyon road. (And the yearly reason I get out to that neck of the woods.)
nope. client called on Friday & needed to meet first of the week. big presentation. lotsa work. fly to SEA. it's raining I'll be here all week, then fly back on SAT nov8. THEN.....i will attempt to confirm the existence of this "Pozo" thing....... maybe sunday....maybe the next weekeknd..... so.........anybody?
do you ever ride during the week? I'm off this weekend and then I go back in on mon-tues then Im off wed-fri I think... I could take you on some roads then.
we may be riding tomorrow,.......... if its not raining/wet. Reg... we may need to post-pone the bbq/ride.
That sounds like it might be do-able.......... I'm in Seattle till the 8th, then back to Nipomo until just B4 turkey. maybe we could work something out then........ Thanks!
Let's try this again....... Sunday morning Ride out through the boonies. POZO maybe.....doesn't much matter. just looking for 2, 3, 4 hours of "local back roads through the county" type ride. Anybody want to meet up / cross paths / join in....yer welcome..... Leaving from Nipomo kinda. maybe around 8-ish back by noon-ish.
tell ya what. I'm off this weekend. I was gonna take the dirtbike out to Pozo again (just got back today) but if you wanna street ride, I'm game. You can come up here, give me how many miles you want to do (and how fast you are willing to go) and I will lay out a course for us. I guarantee I can find just about as many curves as you need. Tori and Brian are both down in Grover ao they may be up for a ride, too. How many peeps do you like to ride with because I could probably scare up 5 or so or we can keep it smaller...
Not much of a big group rider.....get in line / stay in ilne / ride slow....... a few folks - half dozen - is fine w/ me. I tend to be a little cautious first time on new road.....especially where sand & gravel are known to hang out. Tight side of Palomar is one of my fav's...Skyline Blvd south to Alices, then 9 into Santa Cruz. PCH north of Ragged Point Leggit. Foxen Canyon is OK....beat me up a little. Harris Grade Road. :becky: That type of road works for me. Ride the "pace". But heck!....I'd be happy to just meet a few of the locals, too. I'm the new guy, so whatever works...... I kinda blocked out Sunday Morning...maybe 8 to noon-ish. I'll PM my contact info............... bob
For those of you that have been waiting w/ baited Breath...... Close........but No Pozo. It's ok tho. We did about 100 miles of wonderful twisty / sweepy back roads on a beautiful fall day in Central Cali.....temp in the high 60's & low 70's...... This is why we moved here. Reg was a perfect host, and reigned it in enough so that i could catch up at the stopping points. There is much to explore here. This is a good thing.
my pleasure. when you are ready to block out a weekday and do some more riding let me know. those are the best days because all the posers are out of the way and the cops aren't looking for the speeders as much. In general I dont go that fast, though. I just dont slow down for curves much... and here's the link to some of the stories I have written over the past few years: http://vfrworld.com/forums/anything-goes/12832-rounding-up-ride-reports.html here's a link talking about the last BBQ and you can put some faces to names: http://vfrworld.com/forums/trips-events/16890-ride-up-slo-monterey.html and here was the first BBQ get together: http://vfrworld.com/forums/trips-events/13026-vfrworld-central-coast-get-together.html
haha! I finally got ahead of you!.....I was looking at the ride collection last night some. Some familiar roads & shots there......Thoughtful composition as well . I didn't have a lot of time for sight seeing during the ride, I have admit. But you passed me with the BBQ pix. I'll check those out as well. Thanx again. great ride. :hail:
