I have recently re-purchased my 86 VFR 700F. I spent the better part of two years restoring this bike and then sold it to a friend. He promptly layed it down and it collected dust since 05. I convinced him to sell it back to me and now it is now in my garage.

After much heartbreak, a divorce, two kids, and a lousy job i think restoring it again is more than i can chew so I'm planning to part it out.

This is my first time on a message board like this so any advice on how to navigate would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome aboard, smooth.

Sorry to hear of your tough times. Many of us can feel your pain lately.
The best way to part out your bike is to post pictures of the parts you have to offer and list some prices. If you are unsure, the folks here are pretty honest and should offer a fair price. You always have the option of declining an offer.
Cash in hand is king, but I don't know anyone on this board that would try to screw you out of anything so shipping parts once a check has cleared works too.

Good luck with the parts and your life.
