    Hello all,
My bro and I recently bought a 1984 VF500F to rebuild/restore. Most of it is in boxes and it looks like it's all there. One thing I do need is the intake tube for the petcock. I am hoping I can fit the unit with a tube from another petcock, but I don't know exactly what I need. Would anyone be able to post a pic of a complete petcock so I would know what to look for? I would be greatly appreciative!
    Thanks in advance-

Yeah, I think that does. Looks like the tube, at least the center tube, is actually part of the petcock, and since it's not there I guess it's broken off. Hmmm...

Then you'll need to buy OEM. :)

Remember that the center tube just makes the reserve function work. You can just go to a hardware store and look for a piece of copper tubing that will fit tightly into the center of the petcock. Do you have the little filter screen that goes over the top? If so, then the copper pipe needs to just fit inside the length of the screen tube.

Thank you for the info. I did not know the function of the center tube. I don't have the filter screen. I'll have to see what I can rig up.
