I've been looking around and have come up short in finding 2nd gen mirrors. Anybody have a pair laying around they want to sell?

That is a tough one, have not seen a good clean set in years and am always looking. Always figured I would have to do a maneuver like this if I had to come up with something. VFR1i - VFRworld Photo Gallery

Are those after market? Like the ebay ones? I didn't realize the 2nd gen were that hard to find. Guess I'm wrong. I need something to fit the R fairing and the ones on ebay with 2 mounting holes, nobody can tell me what the base size is. I've seen diagram for hole size and spacing but not the overall base.

Plus I don't know if they have enough "swivel" to be adjusted so I can see behind me. Got any specific ones I could look for? I'll have to do more hunting.

Are these ebay mirrors on the 2nd gen photo?

Yep looks like I'll have to find something to mod. Ebay has a couple that could be used. Thanks.

Can you keep this thread alive with your progress. I'm in the same boat. Mine are fully functional but a little battle weary. Thanks!

If you do mod a set it would be great if you posted the mod here or in a new thread.

I'll most likely put it in the topic I started about "Winter Project". I need some mirrors for the R fairing and a guy from Holland is using the 2nd gen mirrors on his R and they look great. He said it was basically a direct bolt on. I like the semi-solid mount of the R mirrors to the fairing bracket thru the fairing. I can get the R groments and under mount for the mirrors from Honda still. I've even thought about using my stock mirrors to get by for now. But they don't really look like they belong to the bike.
