I hear those engines arent the most reliable, but it only has 17k on it.

The first generation V4s had some oil feel issues that resulted in cam shaft probems. By 85 these were apparently solved but in all honesty, I would hold out for an 86 (2nd generation) bike as it was vastly improved in all respects. I think you could probably get into a 3rd gen for about 2k fi you hunt a bit.

 

thanks for the info. Ive had lots of fun/luck with my 3rd gen so ill stay in that area. Its a bike for my brother
