the original owner. Bike is mostly stock except for K&N air filter. I have a half tank bra and a tinted windshield. I've done all the service including brakes, chain, sprockets, oil, coolant, tires. The valve adjustments have been performed by Southeast Sales, a local Honda dealer. I have receipts for those. Last adjustment was done at 32,000 miles. Tires were put on last summer. Dunlop Roadsmart dual compound. asking $3800.

    How much should I offer?

The price isn't unreasonable but I wouldn't say you are getting a good deal. I've definately seen 5th Gens with less mileage and more aftermarket goodies for cheaper. Keep looking and you should be able to find one closer to the $3000 range. If you are intent on buying this one I would offer no more than $3500 max assuming it's in excellent condition.

    Regards,

Note sure of your intentions...you may want an exhaust, a Sargent seat and maybe heli-bars, which could cost $900-1000 new.

Something to consider when the goodies cost another 30% on top of the bike.

I think that if it's in great condition, $3,500 is a good price. As mentioned above, you'll probably want to change the seat to a Sargent, but helibars and the exhaust aren't completely necessary. Wait for a used slipon to come along.
