Inside as in "not a puncture" but as in "floating around inside the carcass"??

Rode it enough to wear the head off ???

Lost air on a ride couple weeks ago - dead flat next day, plugged it, put another 400 miles on it Monday.

Heard the rattle when I took the wheel off today, thought prev. owner had removed old valve stem the lazy way - cut and let the bottom half fall into the tire. Nope. Nail.

Never had this happen on a car.

Anyways, new Michelin on it now.

Was that the original tire on the bike? It would be interesting to know if it happened at the factory or not. I'm betting not.

Had that happen to me on a ride. And than it tumbled and shredded the inside of the tire.

Never mind. I missed that you got a flat. That explains it.

Looks like that nail was in the tire and holding air long enough to wear the head off. Once the head wore off the weight of the rest of the nail pulled the whole thing inside. Once that happened the tire lost it's air!

yikes! lucky no sudden loss of air happened.

I've found a 4 inch broken off knife blade in my rear tire once. Would've blamed the ex girlfriend but she lives 3,000 miles away.
