Anyone know where to buy longer than normal tappet wrenches for the next time I have to adjust the tappets on my 86 750?

Adjusting with a socket and screwdriver was a pain to say the least. :gun3:

I have just done my FK with a box spanner and a screwdriver, you can get them tight enough that way so they don't move when you torque the lock nut up.

I bought a wrench yrs ago from Honda specifically designed for that. Nice long handled box end that bends down and allows the box end to fit over the nut, almost a flat Z shape, don't know if they still sell them but it's very convenient

This is the tool I have, it lets you work the nut and adjuster with one hand and hold the feeler gauge with the other, made by Schley products, sorry no part number on it.

I think I found the tool you are talking about:
UNIVERSAL VALVE ADJUSTMENT TOOL 10mm #88950

It looks a little long to fit the intake tappets on 2 & 4, I guess that's when you just have to get the socket wrench out and bust it out.

Oh, finally saw the pic, looks like you shaved the top off the screwdriver end.
