little smoke coming from under the dash left side 2005 vfr any one witness this before

Planning to put my 2005 vfr in for the new re call wiring harness for r/r burn out prevention. An low and behold a whisp of smoke rose from beneath, dash on left side. Has this happened
to anyone else? slickster thanks for writing my story of woe

 

The recall in the wiring harness for he 2002 to 2005 models has been around for quite a while. You mentioned the "new" recall...is there a second one, or did you just never have the first one done?

I seem to recall a few posts/threads over the years where people reported seeing faint amounts of smoke.

This was from a local gathering of VFRs where the guys didn't replace their R/R or do the wiring harness recall.

 

No this is the original recall for the r/r 2005 vfr, wiring problem of over heating, new to me if there is another out there, thanks for the quick response. slickster thanks for reading my stuff
